Hope is not a strategy! Think-Grow-Reflect is ....
1. 🧠 Think
- Purpose: Spark awareness.
- Action: Explore prompts, questions, or challenges that get them thinking about feelings, choices, and perspectives.
- Physical Cue: A themed 3D object (ex: a key for “unlocking ideas,” a magnifying glass for “looking closer”).
- Outcome: Builds vocabulary and self-awareness around emotions.
2. 📈 Grow
- Purpose: Practice and progress.
- Action: Try out strategies or activities (journaling, sensory play, role-play, small challenges) that stretch their skills.
- Physical Cue: Sand play, rakes, building objects — something that represents growth/change over time.
- Outcome: See emotional skills as things they can practice and develop, not traits they’re stuck with.
3. 🔎 Reflect
- Purpose: Make meaning.
- Action: Pause to look back — What worked? How did I feel? What will I do next time?
- Physical Cue: A smooth stone, mirror token, or reset tool that invites calm reflection.
- Outcome: Kids internalize lessons and start to connect reflection with resilience.
4. 🔄 The Cycle
- Kids repeat the cycle over 12 days (or weeks), one small step at a time, or just roll the dice to change things up!
- The physical box + objects = anchor.
- The guidebook = structure.
- The journal prompts = continuity.
It’s both hands-on (tactile) and heads-on (mental).
